Hon. Dion Powell, MPA

Hon. Dion Powell, MPA is a native New Yorker and District Leader of the Bronx Conservative Party. His political operative that specializes in election strategy, community organizing, and campaign operations training. He has over 20 years of collective education, experience, and most importantly network in the realm of politics, government, and civics. He has spoken on Fox News, Newsmax, LiveOne TV, CHD TV, The Gateway Pundit, the Laura Loomer Show, and more. His claim to fame is his 2023 viral interview with Newsmax’s Cara Castronuova in the South Bronx supporting Donald Trump, which inspired the president to host his successful rally there in Crotona Park in the summer 2024.

On a national scale, his latest accomplishment was being the national African American Affairs outreach consultant for the Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. for President Super PAC American Values 2024. Here his team made strides in the swing states of Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and Nevada. Most recently he helped make history by laying the foundation for the New York Conservative Party, through fusion voting, to elect the first Republican city council person in 40 years in the bluest county of America, the Bronx. By leading by example, he left the Democratic party and reregistered over 100 other people of color in that district to the Bronx Conservative Party. His portfolio has a “diverse” political party strategic operations history.  For example, in 2023 he worked with the New York State Libertarian Party governor and attorney general candidates, as well as, the Independent Laroche Party US Senate candidate races.  He led his team on a contract during Biden/Harris 2020 presidential to help get the victory in the swing state of Pennsylvania.

Some of the civic engagement organizations and boardshe is, has been on, and have partnered with are Project Civica, the Bronx NAACP, BLEXIT New York, NYS Young Democrats (Caucus of Color Chair), NY Urban League: Young Professionals, the New York Young Republican Club: Black Caucus, the Bronx chapter of the National Action Network (NAN), Urban Youth Initiative, American Association of Political Consultants, the Professional Consultants Association, Parliamentarians of Metro New York, Frederick Douglas Leadership Institute, The Bronx Libertarian Party, and many more.

Because of his knowledge, experience, and network in the New York government, politics, and campaign realm, he helped start Special Forces, LLC, as the director of Public Affairs. This company dealt specifically with civics and  community outreach training. He then branched out to form his own civics-based consultancy called IAMA CleinBuerger, akaNYCONSULTANT.US, which works with businesses, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and special interest groups. From being the VP of student government at the City College of New York (CUNY) to achieving a master’s in public administration from Metropolitan College of New York, Dion has always been in the know of how political action works in realtime in the areas of the board of elections, campaign strategies, and legislative policies. He has run for New York Assembly and State Senate. He has professional experience working for the NYS Assembly as a community liaison for a Bronx elected official plus working on city, state, federal, and presidential campaigns for various political  parties.  His natural ability is to always knowhow all these areas are accessed by the African American community to  influence their voting record. With the combination of education and service to the diverse CUNY student population, he went on to working in his   community. He became a substitute teacher and teacher’s assistant for both NYC public and charter schools. At Hostos Community College in the Bronx, he was a supplemental instructor and College Assistant to the Director of student activities. While there he mentored and developed student leaders, especially in the student government. Also, he volunteered and worked a this church / community center, the Latino Pastoral Action Center (LPAC) / Sanctuary church. At LPAC he was the Assistant to the community liaison as well as the Assistant Director of the civic education non-profit Servicing Our Youth (SOY). At this organization he taught Bronx youth about the political world, how it operates, and educated on government and public policy. He started working on his first campaigns for his friend and SOY founder, Joel R. Rivera for Assembly and City Council. He had the roles of Deputy Campaign manager and Treasurer. Lastly, he is the founder of 23in23.org, which is a 501c4 not-for-profit that supported 2023 candidates for New York City Council that were fired from the vaccine mandates. The theme is “You took our Jobs! Now we take Yours!” Additionally, he used to have his own Political Action Committee called the BX PAC. Civic engagement has become part of his lifestyle and he is known as “The Super Strategist” and “The Community’s Consultant”. He has a talent for studying the political and governmental climate to advise on navigating those systems.P
